Booking.com Foresees The Multiverse-Influenced Travels

According to a recent poll by the online travel company Booking.com, the Metaverse will impact on tourism in 2023.

In particular, the Metaverse would aid tourists in selecting the places they wish to visit in the present. It only shows how people’s curiosity for this sub-crypto economy has grown over time.

The new traveling method

The poll, which drew 24,179 respondents from 32 nations, included subjects including where travelers want to go in 2023, what inspired their trip, and how important a budget is to their travel arrangements.

People under 25 years old, generally known as Gen Z, made up a sizable portion of those eager to travel in the multiverse next year as well as in real-time (forty-three), closely followed by Millenials (26-41) with (forty-three percent).

Virtual reality (VR) was adopted by almost half of all respondents as a tool to aid in their decision-making regarding travel.

4574 of the previous respondents indicated they would prefer to digitally explore a destination before opting to actually visit the location.

Another 35 percent are more willing to spend more time in the Metaverse, so they can get to know it better and make better decisions.

Physical Trip or Multiverse Travel?

Contrarily, 60% of poll respondents stated that the virtual environment is incomparable to the real physiological experience in their preferred place.

There are plans to expand the technology by including haptic feedback to enhance the realism of this virtual experience. This allows virtual tourists to experience the sensation of sand on their feet and the sun on their skin.

The survey’s findings indicate that some of the most popular vacation spots include Brazil’s Sao Paulo, Australia’s Hobart, Italy’s Bolzano, and India’s Pondicherry.
