It has not been long since the Ethereum blockchain underwent a great transition from the PoW to the PoS consensus protocol. However, the Ether community that once supported proof-of-stake protocol is now opening up about it.
PoS Protocol is proving to be Troublesome
With the network moving to the PoS protocol, staking has become the primary source of validation and providing security for the Ether network.
However, some of the community members parts of the ETH staking are sharing their concerns over the protocol. According to them, the staking protocol for ETH is turning out to be too difficult of a task for them.
Among all the community members, the most affected members are the ones considered regular people dealing with the protocol.
ETH Members are Not Happy
According to some members, they were unhappy with the amount and effort they had to put in order to get things up and running for ETH staking.
Things have just become too difficult for them and to an extent, it was unforgiving for them. In an effort to make Ethereum a better protocol, they have made things much more difficult for the commoners.
Those who are tight on schedule but still want to benefit from ETH have to spend a tremendous amount of time and effort to get things done.
This is something that is very difficult to manage and they would have to work really hard to deal with the situation.
Criticism of ETH Developers
According to the ETH community members, the developers as well as the rest of the ETH community want to sugarcoat things up.
It is being claimed that the usability of the protocol is quite efficient and supportive of the community. In reality, there are many difficulties that have come up with the transitioning of the protocol.
It is important that the community talks about these issues and brings them to light so they can be addressed in a timely manner.
More Community Members are Speaking Up
In the past, the Ether community never complained about facing such a situation. Everyone had the opportunity of putting in their efforts to benefit from the protocol.
Now, the situation has changed completely as the control of the protocol has now fallen into the hands of the corporate and institutional stakers.
The protocol has been in place since September 15 but still, it has not lived up to the claims or its expectations. Ether has shown no signs of improvement or stability, making it a risky decision that the ETH developers have made.
If the issues are not addressed or the common ETH users are not given much of a utility, they may start leaving the protocol for good.
