Blockchain Company Introduces Confidential Crypto MasterCard

Edge, a blockchain company based in San Diego, recently announced that it is launching a crypto MasterCard that will be confidential because it will not collect any know-your-customer data and will not have any transaction fee either. According to the Edge website, the card will not have any address or name and this will give peace of mind to all those who are concerned about privacy.

Privacy-Centric Cryptocurrency Card

According to the digital currency company, the Edge Mastercard is a crypto debit card that can be loaded and it does not take any of your data. The announcement was made on Twitter by the company and it informed its followers that they can add funds instantly and there are no fees involved. They further revealed that the card can be used for spending different cryptocurrencies, whether it is BTC, LTC, BCH, DASH, or DOGE.

Gabe Higgins, the founder of Blockchain.io praised the blockchain company for launching the innovative and privacy-centric card for crypto users. On Wednesday, Higgins tweeted that it was amazing how Edge had managed to follow through with their original goal of providing people with a secure and easy way of using Bitcoin without having their privacy infringed.

The webpage of the card explains that not only does the crypto MasterCard offers privacy to the users, but it also compliant with the existing financial laws. The Edge site said that since you do not have to provide a name or address, your transactions can offer you complete privacy. The website further added that not only do they offer privacy, but they have fulfilled all requirements when it comes to regulations, card associations, issuers and also federal, local and international laws.

How the Card Works?

The Edge MasterCard does not have any fee associated with it, which is a huge advantage, but users should be aware that they have to incur a cost of $20 in order to get its physical version. Another unique perk of the card is that it can be used everywhere you would use a regular MasterCard. As far as the limit of the card is concerned, you can add a maximum of $1,000 per day to the card.

On Wednesday, PaulPuey, the co-founder of the blockchain firm explained that they are very proud to have been able to offer people a way of conducting their crypto transactions while maintaining their privacy. The executive said that he was pleased to offer people a card where they do not need to give any information for activation, or use. He said that people could use the card confidently at any US merchant that accepts a MasterCard.

Formerly called Airbitz Inc., Edge was founded in 2014 by William Swanson, Paul Puey, Tim Horton, Scott Morgan and Damian Cutillo. Other than launching the new crypto MasterCard, the company also adopted a Bitpay Payment Protocol recently, which is aimed at ensuring that crypto payments are made accurately. This is certainly a move forward in the crypto space and can be quite helpful.
